- The app is showing a "bad app setup" status
- Unolo needs background permissions for location tracking to work properly. Without these permissions, accurate distance calculation isn't possible
The solution involves:
- The user needs to watch a youtube video tutorial
- They need to launch the app setup guide on their phone
- Follow the instructions to change settings
- Take screenshots of the changed settings
- Upload the screenshots
- If done correctly, the app setup will be fixed within 24 hours
For Admins:
- They can monitor users with bad app settings from the Compliance Status page
- This page also shows the uploaded screenshots to verify proper settings
Recommendation: We also recommend turning on the Odometer module so that you can always get accurate distance travelled for all your employees. If you enable this module, then when your employees punch in, they will have to take a picture of their odometer and enter in the reading. When they punch out, they will have to take a picture again and enter the reading. The system will automatically calculate the distance travelled and store all the pictures. If you are interested in the Odometer module, you can easily enable it from the Odmeter Settings page.
